Birth: Apr. 19, 1941
Cottle County
Texas, USA
Death: Mar. 22, 2012

Dahl Clower, 70, of Amarillo died Thursday, March 22, 2012.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with
Dr. Darin Davis officiating. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church in Matador with the Rev. Patrick Adair, pastor, officiating. Burial will be
in East Mound Cemetery in Matador. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

He was the first of two boys born to Fred and Virgie Clower. Dahl was born April 19, 1941, in Paducah. Home was Matador, where he lived until the family moved to
Plainview, where he graduated from high school; he later graduated from West Texas A&M University in Canyon in 1968. He was a devoted husband and father.

He retired from a division of Bristol Myers Squibb after 26 years. Dahl loved going back to Matador, where his whole family lived and farmed. Family reunions
were a favorite event, never missing one.

Friends were many his coffee-drinking buddies in Amarillo and Matador meant so much to him. He loved nothing better than visiting with his friends, Roger Arnold and the Kubota and Firestone guys, to name just a few. Wheeling and dealing on land and pickups was his hobby.

He loved his wife, children and grandchildren with all his heart. Family always came first.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Treva; his mother and father; and many aunts and uncles. All were dear to him.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Delores;
two sons, Kevin and wife
Barbara and Dyron and wife Monti; seven grandchildren, Chase, Jordan, Jennifer and husband Jose, Caleb, Jadon, Isaac and Noah; a brother, Dwight Clower and wife Krista; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.

The family suggests memorials be to Motley County Senior Citizens, 625 Stewart St., Matador, TX 79244.
