In upper Suisun Valley, within limits of Napa County, John Wesley Lambert was born in 1856, and was one year old when his parents moved to Solano County.
As a young man he worked on a farm and tended stock until he was 24 years of age. As a result of his hard work he came to own 110 acres in Suisun Valley, and 45 acres of fruit land near Fairfield.
He married in Fairfield, October 26, 1880, to Lovey Chadbourne, a native of Suisun valley, and the daughter of Joseph and Ruth Annie (Hobbs) Chadbourne, natives of Maine.
Six children were born, Five who survived: Edna, who married Hardy Wright; Pearl, who married Clyde Wright; Hazel Lambert, and Charles A. Lambert, and Blanche.
John's father Wesley was born in Kentucky and came to California in 1899 and died in Mendocino county in Jan. 1899. John's mother Derinda Burger Wright was born in Iowa
and died at age 65 years.
Aged 92 years.
