BOSCOBEL — Grover Jones, age 94, died Tuesday, September 21, 1982, at the Boscobel Memorial Nursing Home. He was born November 14, 1887, In Crawford County, to Baskln and Mary Jane Foust Jones. He had farmed in the area all his life. He was married September 26, 1908, to the former Nora Puckett. She passed away July 7, 1982. He was a charter member of the Maple Ridge Bible Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Alta) York of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Mrs. Glen (Rose) Oaks of Tallahassee, Florida, and Mrs. William (Bonnie Jean) Kinne of Rockford, Illinois; four sons, Paul and Estelle Jones of Gays Mills, Jack and Mary Ann Jones of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Mike and Marion Jones of Black Creek, Wisconsin, and Tom and Barbara Jones of Milwaukee; 33 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 14 greatgreatgrandchildren. He was preceded In death by two daughters, Dorothy and Delores; and two sons, Isaiah Joel and Robert.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, at 1 P.M. at the MAPLE RIDGE BIBLE CHURCH. Pastors Thaddeus Peak and Oscar Hunerdosse will officiate. Burial will be In the Readstown Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 P.M. at the BEEMAN FUNERAL HOME, Boscobel, and at the church Friday from noon until the time of services.
