David H. Barker, 65, who died at 8:25 AM Wednesday [Oct. 28, 1975] in Lafayette Home Hospital, was a native of Roachdale. He had lived at New Market from 1945-1953 before moving to Lafayette 22 years ago. He married Doris E. Delano on Nov. 23, 1932, at Lebanon; she survives.
Mr. Barker had been employed in the maintenance department of High Point Oil Company for 23 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Carolyn (Mrs. Norbert) Fisher; two sons, Donald L. Barker of Logansport and Phillip M. Barker of Lafayette; a sister, Lillie (Mrs. John) Farr of Lebanon; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
