BUSHNELL — Joseph Anthony Barile-Scheibler, 91, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
Mr. Barile-Scheibler was born in the Bronx, NY. He was a fighter pilot in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Daphne "Penny"; son, James, Center Hill; daughter, Patsy Scaglitti, Bergenfield, NJ; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Humane Society of Sumter County, P.O. Box 67, Lake Panasoffkee, FL 33538.

was born August 26, 1920 in Bronx, NY. Mr. Scheibler
was a fighter pilot in World War II. He married Daphne
Agnes Crowe in Cambridge, England where he was a
member of the British Army.
He is survived by his wife, Daphne "Penny" Scheibler
of Bushnell, FL; son, James Scheibler of Center Hill, FL;
daughter, Patsy (John) Scaglitti of Bergenfield, NJ; 6
grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Scheibler,
Jr., daughter, Carol Bratt, and grandson, Christopher
Lee.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the
Humane Society of Sumter County, P.O. Box 67, Lake
Panasoffkee, FL 33538.
