He was raised in rural Stigler and attended Keota Schools. September 12, 1952, he married his high school sweetheart Lou Ann Hill in Stigler. Shortly after their marriage they moved to the Tulsa area. Bobby began working in the metal industry as a welder. He worked Siftee Metal, Tulsa Metal Works and Custom Stainless before retiring. In 1979 Bobby and Lou Ann moved to Inola. There he could often be found around town talking with his friends about classic cars. His hobbies included fishing, listening to blue grass music, and working on his old cars.
Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Lynn Hill; and his parents.
Funeral service for Bobby Wayne Horton will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Inola Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Darryle Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
