An obituary appeared on 26 Jul 1871 in the "Loudoun Mirror", Loudoun Co., Virginia that read: "Death of Noble S. Braden, who has been in declining health for many months. For many years a magistrate of this county, and presiding justice of the County Court. In May 1855 he was elected to the Senate of Virginia. He attained the venerable age of seventy-two years."
