Anna Catharina Gartner was born 9 June 1768 in Ebersdorf, Bavaria, Germany, to Johann Christian Gartner and Anna Dorothea Kessel Gartner.
Her first husband was Johann Georg Schneider, whom she married on May 1, 1792.
Following the death of her first husband she married Peter Oberender on 18 January 1801.
One of their children was Johann Oberender, who emigrated to the United States in 1840. Anna did not accompany her husband and her son and her son's family to America.
She died in Ebersdorf on 5 March 1846, and is buried there.
