Idaho Governor. The brother of fellow Idaho Governor Chase Addison Clark, when he and his brother were small children, the family moved to Eagle Rock (now Idaho Falls), Idaho. He attended college in Terre Haute, Indiana, but dropped out when his health became poor. He returned to Idaho, where he farmed, raised cattle, and mined. He served as Mayor of Idaho Falls from 1913 to 1917 and again from 1927 until 1937, when he became Governor of Idaho. When his term expired in 1939, he retired to Idaho Falls, where he died of lung cancer. (bio by: Collins Crapo)
