Funeral services for Evonell Jackson McMillan, 87, were held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at Old
River Terrace United Methodist Church in Houston. Her body was cremated.

A private memorial service will be held at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale at a later date.

Mrs. McMillan died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 in San Jacinto.

She was born in Milam County on Jan. 17, 1922, to Elbert Francis Jackson and Avy Pearl (Isbell) Jackson.

Mrs. McMillan was a full time homemaker.

She was a member of Old River Terrace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. McMillan was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; her husband, Lloyd Murray McMillan; a son, Kenny McMillan; and a grandson, Michael McMillan.

Survivors are a daughter, a son, three grandsons, four granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.

Evonell Jackson McMillan, 87, entered into rest on Saturday, January 2, 2010. She was born in Milam County, Texas on January 17, 1922 to Elbert Francis Jackson and Avy Pearl (Isbell) Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her seven siblings, her husband, Lloyd Murray McMillan, her son, Kenny McMillan and grandson, Michael McMillan; She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Janice Aikey and her husband, John; son, Mike McMillan and his wife, Sharee; three grandsons, Steven Aikey, Matt McMillan and Dean McMillan. She is also survived by four granddaughters, Lynn Parrish and her husband, Kevin, Kate Beltran and her husband, James, Sarah Ashworth and her husband, Morgan and Jenny Beaty and her husband, Beau. Her precious great-grandchildren are Faith Hoisager, Julian Ghere, Melanie Parrish, Katie Parrish, Chris Beltran, Elizabeth Beltran, Natalie Ashworth and Austin Beaty. Evonell was a full time homemaker, devoting herself to her family . She and Lloyd raised their children in Jacinto City, Texas where Evonell was a member of Jacinto City United Methodist Church. Later, she moved to North Shore and joined the Old River Terrace United Methodist Church. She loved the Lord and her family. She was loved in return, will be remembered with deep affection and will be greatly missed .
