SHREVEPORT, LA-Memorial services for Gary L. Buffey, 69, with Military Honors presented by the U.S. Navy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Stacie Holden. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Gary was born in Flint Michigan on July 9, 1942 to Harvy and Pauline Buffey. He passed away on March 11, 2012. He was a resident of Shreveport and retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Red River Corvette Club, VFW. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Derrilynne Biggs. He is survived by his wife, Janice Pullig-Buffey; son, Barry Lynn Buffey; daughters, Heather Buffey, Melissa Buffey-Workman and husband, Russ and Dessiree Buffey, Dora Hespen and husband, Walt; grandchildren, Cassandra Buffey, Diana Buffey, Caleb Warner, Gavin Buffey, Annaleigh Gamez, Ronnie Gamez and Leroy Buffey; sister, Pam Bonk and husband, Bob; brother, Gregory Buffey.
