Ellis "Billy" Mangrum, age 76, died Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Williamson Medical Center.
Preceded in death by son Timothy "Timbo" Mangrum, brother, Pete Mangrum and grandson, Richie Pruitt and great grandchild Ryan Bruce.
Mr. Mangrum was born in Williamson County to the late Cammie and Zelma Martin Mangrum and made his home in Franklin where he was a farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survived by his wife, Marian Mangrum; son, Ronny Mangrum; daughter, Doris "Donnie" Bruce and husband Gary all of Peytonsville Community; step son, George Pruitt of Chapel Hill; step daughters, Darlene Winters of Rockvale, Gay Bennett of Thompson Station; brothers, Dan Mangrum of Franklin, Bruce Mangrum of Whitwell, Harold Mangrum of Murfreesboro; sister, Reba Bradford of Franklin, Velma Barnes of Harpeth Community; grandchildren, Tonya (Jon) Dodd, Heather (Toby) Bruce, Jessica Mangrum, Deborah Clark, Crystal Bowman & Kristen Winters; six great grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 23 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, with Ronnie Johnson and Raymond Johnson officiating. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Monday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home (3009 Columbia Ave., Franklin), which is in charge of arrangements.

Billy was cremated and his ashes are at Williamson Memorial Gardens.
