HOULTON, Dec. 13 - Emma M. Smith, 87, died Monday at a local nursing home after a long illness.
She was born at Eel River Lake, N. B., Augusta 30, 1873, daughter of George and Jane (Thompson) Terrill.
She had been a resident of Houlton for the past 47 years.
She is survived by two sons, Miles and Harold, both of Hodgdon, two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Crane and Mrs. Elva Adams, both of Littleton; 14 grandchildren; 42 great-granchildren.
Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home, Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. Wayne Thompson officiating.
Interment will be in East Hodgdon Cemetery.
