Sue Alexander, 69, widow of John S. Alexander, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at her residence.
Born Oct. 25, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Vivian Endicott. Mrs. Alexander was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, a member of Tates Creek Presbyterian Church where she belonged to the Golden Circle, and a former member of Camp Nelson Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Lexington Lions and Lioness Club and was very active in equine activities and memberships including the Central Kentucky Walking Horse Association, the Central Kentucky Auxiliary, Central Kentucky Riding for Hope and she was a board member of both the Ohio Valley Walking Horse Association and the Mercer County Fair and Horse Show.
Survivors include a daughter, Becky (Dale) Sweet of Lexington; three grandchildren, Dillon Sweet of Lexington, and Bethany and Jack Napier, both of Lincoln County; a sister, Vivian (Charles) Bork of Toledo, Ohio; two nieces, Sarah and Julia Bork, both of Washington; a nephew, Andrew Bork of Toledo, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Andrew Alexander and James G. Alexander and thier families; and friend and grandchildren's caregiver, Karen Weyandt.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Napier.
