ELOY One Casa Grande man is dead and another behind bars after a deadly shooting Saturday night at Love's truck stop, 5000 N. Sunland Gin Road.

Eloy Police Department spokesman Brian Jerome said officers responded to reports of a shooting at 9:37 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in a pickup truck in front of the truck stop with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was identified as Adam Curtis, 23. Curtis was flown to a Valley hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Jerome said a witness reported that the shooter fled the scene in a white Chevrolet pickup truck north on Sunland Gin Road. Later that evening a suspect called and turned himself in to the Casa Grande Police Department.

The man, identified as Chase Jones, 24, of the 1600 block of North Kadota Avenue was turned over to the Eloy Police Department. A gun believed to be used in the shooting was recovered.
