John Goetsch, 67 died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday in his home, 933 1/2 West Third street, after an illness of three months duration. He was born in Davenport Feb. 4, 1871, was educated here and was married in this city June 9, 1892 to Agnes Preuss. In 1904 the couple moved to a farm near Walnut, IL, and lived there until 1929 when they returned to Davenport. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Survivors include his wife and one son, Arthur J., and three grandchildren, and three brothers, Julius, Ernest and Herman Goetsch, all of Davenport. One brother, William, died two months ago, and two others, Henry and James (Jochim), preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Runge chapel. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery.
