Grace M. Coulbourne of Milton died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. She was 79.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 9, the Milton V.F.W. Auxiliary, American Legion Post 28 Auxiliary, Milton Fire Department Auxiliary and Goshen United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joshua and Bertha Tucker Hitchens; and her brother, Levin Hitchens.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William J. "John" Coulbourne; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Gary L. and Catherine Coulbourne of Lewes, James E. and Peggy Coulbourne of Milton, Bill Coulbourne, and his friend, Peggy Truitt, of Felton, and Bob and Bonnie Coulbourne of Milton; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bill Goins of Georgetown; eight grandchildren, Kelly L. Nichols of Millsboro, Jennifer J. Coulbourne and William L. Coulbourne, both of Milton, Robert L. Coulbourne of Lewes, Kimberly Coulbourne and Ellen Coulbourne, both of Milford, and Michael Goins and Matthew Goins, both of Georgetown; and two great-grandsons, Tyler Nichols of Millsboro and Shane Coulbourne of Milton.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
