It is our painful duty to record the death of Miss Addie Anness daughter of Mr. C. W. Anness at her residence in this city on Thursday night last.
Miss Anness was sick for near a month and although everything was done that could be suggested to stay the progress of her disease, yet without avail. Death laid his cold icy hand on her brow and claimed her as his victim.
Miss Addie was just about 24 years of age and just before she was taken down, was the picture of health and vigor.
She was a most excellent young lady, the light and life of her family and a great favorite among her companions.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. D. M. Mcl.eod were held in the Methodist Church, Saturday at 12:30 o'clock, and her body laid to rest in Bethany cemetery.
Sincere sympathy is felt for the bereaved family in this hour of affliction.
