"EAST WORCESTER - After a long and serious illness Mrs. Lydia Dante died at her home in this village, Thursday the 1st inst., aged about 76 years. Obsequies were held at the house, Saturday at 10 A. M. Rev. W. S. Adams officiated. Interment was at Delanson. Mrs. Dante has been a resident of this village nearly thirty-five years and had always been a kind neighbor and a devoted mother. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Louie Hayden, who resides with her, and three sons, James, William and Augustus, all of whom are residents of this village. Mrs. Dante will be missed by a large circle of friends." ["The Otsego Farmer & Republican" (Cooperstown, NY), June 9, 1905, p. 3]
