Jonathan was the son of my ancestors, ISAAC & MARY (ATWATER) DICKERMAN. He married Rebecca Bassett 27 Jan 1742 in New Haven, CT. They were the parents of Enos, Rebecca, Jonathan, Hezekiah, Joel, Amos, & Benoni.
Jonathan may have married three times. His second wife was Hannah (Leavenworth) Moss, widow of Nicholas Moss, and his third wife was Deborah (Tuttle) Todd, widow of Christopher Todd.
He was a farmer with lots of land in Hamden.
Note: Their son Enos Dickerman (married Lois Alling on Oct. 22,1767) was a soldier in the Rev. War, and was taken prisoner by the British. He died in New York City.

He was a reputable member of Society/ benevolent to the Poor in Distress, Industry, regularity, frugality & good Economy marked his life. To human appearance he was a follower & promoter of the religion of Jesus."
