B.A. Daugherty died Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Snadon, of Greenfield, Mo. He had gone to Greenfield on Thursday to visit his daughter. He was not feeling well at the time, but was not believed to be dangerously ill. He resided at 416 E. Main in Carterville. Mr. Daugherty came to this area from Texas in 1868. He was for years engaged in mining and farming enterprises at Carterville. Six children survive. They are Louettie Snadon, Greenfield; Alice Hall, Texas; Belle Lillibridge, Carterville and three sons Benjamin, James and Jesse. Also surviving are two sisters Louise Thornton and Nancy Caroline Gray both of Carterville. Mr. Daugherty's wife and his brother James both preceded him in death in January.
