GIBSON CITY (PNS) - Charles E. Goin, 52, of 323 S. Church St., an employee of Chanute Technical Training Center, Rantoul, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at Veterans' Administration Hospital, Danville.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lamb Funeral Home, the Rev. Allen Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetary.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
He was born March 21, 1926, near Gibson City, a son of Harry and Beulah Cross Goin. He married Peggy Meade Aug. 20, 1968, in West Virginia.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Charles, at home; a daughter, Debbie Mendoza, Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepdaugher, Ruth Ann Lilly, at home; a stepson, Donnie Lilly, Urbana; and his mother, Beulah Kennedy, and a brother, Robert, both of Gibson City.
His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Goin, a lifelong Gibson City resident, was an army veteran of World War II and a member of the Gibson City American Legion Post.
