MARY LUELLA STANDLEY LOVELL

IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mary Luella Standley Lovell, 81, died March 13, 2003, in her home surrounded by her children.

She was born January 9, 1922, in Ririe, Idaho, to Joseph Hyrum Standley and Lillie Viola Russell Standley. She grew up and attended schools in Ririe and Ammon.

She married James Spencer Lovell September 23, 1940, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Luella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. All who knew her were touched by her example of integrity, service, hard work and love.

She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed her service in the Primary, Young Women, Relief Society and as a Librarian and a Visiting Teacher. Luella and James served as missionaries in Houston, Texas and Mesa, Arizona.

She enjoyed her membership in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Sarah A. Howard Camp. Luella was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and gardening, but most of all, her family.

She is survived by Daughter: Donna M. (Steve) Colson, Richland, WA

Daughter: Susan C. (Steven) Bawden, Orem, UT

Sister: Veda (Amerigo) Lazzarotto,
Brother: Glen (LaRue) Standley
Brother: Keith (Jackie) Standley, all of Idaho Falls.
24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, sister, Dortha Workman, a brother, LaVere Standley, and a granddaughter, Tamra Lovell.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a viewing on Friday, March 14, 2003, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Wood East Side Chapel (963 S. Ammon Rd.) and for one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the Ririe LDS Stake Center under the direction of Bishop A. Kent Frecker.

Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

All who knew her loved her and will miss her greatly!
