Samuel Weldon Kibler Sr., 75, of Linville, died on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Nov. 18, 1931, in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Samuel Ford Kibler and Anna Mae Baker Kibler Rhinehart.

On Aug. 22, 1964, he married the former Virginia Deavers, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Connie Correa of Harrisonburg; a son Samuel W. Kibler Jr. of Broadway; a stepson, Gary Deavers of Harrisonburg; seven sisters, Mary Grandle of Keezletown and Nellie Knight, Anna Lee Branner, Treva Bowman, Glenna Mae Halterman, Shirley Jarrels and Patsy Morris, all of Harrisonburg; a brother, Bill Kibler of Shenandoah; two grandchildren, one of whom he raised in his home, Jeremy Kibler and two step grandchildren.


Burial was in the Linville Cemetery.
