Obituary:
Leona Wilhelmina Brehm was born June 5, 1899 at Cook, the daughter of Charles P. and Wilhelmina Doermann Brehm.
She was married to Carl Grotrian at Cook on Sept. 22, 1920, and they lived in the Talmage-Cook area. The Grotrians retired to Cook some years ago.
Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1982.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, Ne.
Leona had been hospitalized several times and was a resident of the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She died April 14, 1985 at Syracuse Memorial Community Hospital at age 85.
Mrs. Grotrian is survived by three sons, Donald of Brock, Glen of Cook, and Paul of Johnson; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Teten of Harrison and Mrs. Donald Wellman of Burr, 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 17 at Hope Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Michael Williams.
Grandsons serving as pallbearers were Keith Teten, Kenneth Teten, Tony Teten, Robert Grotrian, Ronald Grotrian, Gerald Grotrian, Jim Grotrian and Darrell Wellman.
Mrs. Michael Williams was Organist.
Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemtery, near Talmage, NE.
