Manuel Aguiar Sr., 91, of Birdsboro, died Monday, March 5, 2012.
His former wife, Hildegarde A. (Schulz) Aguiar, passed away in 1995, and his companion, Katie Baer, passed away in January.
Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Antonio Aguiar and Virginia (Batista) Aguiar.
Mr. Aguiar was a cement finisher for various companies, such as Golasko, Marcy and Lucas Co., doing highway cement maintenance for many years until retirement.
Mr. Aguiar was a member of the Birdsboro Fire Company, Birdsboro American Legion, Birdsboro Sportsman's Club, Birdsboro VFW Post #411 and the Gibraltar Fire Company. His most beloved hobby was building homes and his greatest love was his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Aguiar is survived by seven sons companion of Stacy Shaw, of Birdsboro; and two daughters, one sister, 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by sons, Anthony B.S. Aguiar and Manuel Aguiar, Jr., and a sister, Maria.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gibraltar.
