Mrs. Mary E. Brown of Thayer, 76 years old, died Sunday afternoon at the Wilson County hospital, where she was taken Saturday night. She had been ill about three weeks.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Harrison chapel. Burial was in the Harrison cemetery.
Mrs. Brown had lived near Thayer for 47 years. She was a member of the Christian church.
She was born May 29, 1865, at Liberal and was married Aug. 10, 1887, at Liberal to Ansel n. Brown. They were the parents of 14 children, 12 of whom survive.
