Cheyenne Renae Strickland, 13, of Maryville, passed away 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Children's Hospital in Knoxville. She was born October 24, 1998, to Darrell Strickland and Janie Ramirez. She is preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, aunts and uncles. She is survived by her father; sister, Marisol Ramirez, grandmother, Marie Strickland; aunts and uncles, Linda Strickland, Judy and William Conner, Carol and Allen Potter, all of Maryville, Kathy and Lester Baker, Stanley and Irene Strickland of Peoria, Ill.; too many others to mention. Cheyenne, you were put on this Earth for a reason and even though you were here for such a short time, you brought so much love to everyone who came in contact with you, not only family, but your doctors, nurses, teachers, students, and neighbors. Special thanks to her nurses, Melissa Johnson, Sandy Ellison and Rose Keen; and neighbor, Loretta Lovell. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville. The family and friends will meet at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville to proceed to Pleasant Hill Cemetery for a 1 p.m. graveside funeral service with Rev.
