Mrs. Blair's Rites In Frederick 30th
Services were in the McClelland chapel in Frederick at 2:30 Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Jennie Blair, 86, mother of the late Mrs. O.H. Riffe and grandmother of Mrs. Emma Taylor and Pete Riffe of this place. Burial was in the Hollister cemetery. Mrs. Blair was a pioneer resident of southwest Oklahoma. She was a member of the Frederick First Christian church.
Mrs. Blair had often visited the Riffe home here and her last visit with Mr,. and Mrs. Rudell Taylor was May 28 of this year. She was the mother of 12 children and is survived by six daughters and two sons. Also 42 grandchildren 62 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren survive. Granddaughters served as flower girls and grandsons were bearers at the final service.
All of the Riffe children attended the service Saturday except Jack Riffe, who had left a few days before for his home in Aurora, Ill.
Married to Jesse Blair. Jesse died in Wrigley, Morgan County, KY, on Jan. 12, 1916. After Jesse's death, she moved to Oklahoma with some of their children. Their children are infant son, Florence, Dora, Elizabeth, Henry Clay, Lula, Attie, John Wade, Stella, Ida, Vesta and Benjamin Franklin.
Jennie was moved from Hollister Cemetery to Frederick. She is buried at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery in Section 3, Block B, Lot 10, Space 7.
