Starteing as a tour manager in the early 1960s with such artists as Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers and Little Richard, to name a few, in 1966, he was asked to manage "The Yardbirds", whose members included guitarist Jimmy Page, future founder of Led Zepplin. An ex-actor and wrestler, Grant was a large, colorful and occasionally violent-tempered man. Loyal to Led Zeppelin and protective of their financial interests, he was instrumental in forming Swan Song Records in 1974. (bio by: Greg Brown)

Most people do not realize that this man who totally dedicated himself to Led Z made them not have to worry except to making their music. He protected their money interests and was a good man and a sterling example as a manager. -
