John Leroy Reynolds, 90, Springfield, passed away March 3, 2012, in Christian Health Care Republic. John was born in Springfield, MO, on November 1, 1921, the son of Diana (Elliott) and Ira Lee Reynolds.

John graduated from Pleasant Hope High School and served in the United States Coast Guard. He was united in marriage to Opal Faye Hicks in January, 1947. They have one son, Jimmy. John was a member of High Street Baptist Church. John retired from the State of Missouri as a Drivers Examiner. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of their farm.

John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charley; and sister, Mary.

John is survived by his wife, Opal; son, Jimmy (Patti), Springfield; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jeff) Young, Colorado Springs, CO, and Bradley Reynolds, Seattle, WA; great-granddaughter, Kaylin Young; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
