Cremation is under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Stephenville. He married Letha Nell Williams on April 28, 1951, in Clovis, N.M. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He owned C&B Tackle and Repair in Lubbock for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles R. of Lubbock and Richard L. of Clovis, N.M.; a daughter, Ronda Welborn of Lubbock; a sister, Nell Brown of Lubbock; and five grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
