Funeral services for Paul Dallas Barnes, 77, of Williston, SC will be held eleven a.m, Thursday, March 8, 2012 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with burial in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Wednesday, March 7th at the funeral home. Contact the American Heart Association, 800-242-8721 for memorial contributions. Pallbearers will be: Darryl Napier, Errol G. Orebaugh, Ward Lang, James A. (Jimmy) Baynham, William E. (Bill) Eckard, Ricky Mundy and Al Cothran. Paul passed away Monday, March 5, 2012.
Born in Aiken County, he was a son of the late Alfred S. Barnes and Mae Owens Barnes. Paul retired having worked for 49 years in Facilities Management for EI Dupont and Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site. He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Berlin Crisis and was a member of the Williston First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Baynham Barnes of the home; sons, Paul Dallas (Donna) Barnes, Jr. of Williston, Allan Baynham (Rette) Barnes of Aiken; sister, Shirley B. (Bobby) Cothran of Aiken; granddaughters, Rachael Barnes, Pawley Cate Barnes, Lily Barnes and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Barnes.
