He had less menacing roles in movies like "The Last Temptation of Christ" (as Apostle Peter) (1988), "Desperately Seeking Susan" (1985) and "Angel Eyes" (2001) (as Jennifer Lopez's father). Other notable movie credits include The Rose (1979), Monkey Trouble (1994), Coyote Ugly (2000), Smoke (1995), Blue in the Face (1995) and 2001's Don't Say a Word as Sydney Simon.
