My great-grandmother died at her home which was located at 402 East Washington Street, Greenville, South Carolina.
Florence was survived by her husband, Zedic and 6 daughters, Mrs. Effie James Greer of Rhodehiss, North Carolina, Mrs. Garlington(Susan James) and Mrs. Lola Lupo of Greenville, South Carolina; Mrs. Vannie Barnett of Gowansville, Greenville County, South Carolina, Mrs. Jennie Dillard of Greer, South Carolina; and Mrs. Melvina James Miles of Greenville, South Carolina; and 1 son, B.M. James of Fort Oglethorpe. Funeral Services were conducted at Brushy Creek Baptist Church. Florence was predeceased by 1 daughter Etta James which was Baby Florence.

Florence was the daughter of John Landrum Hudson who died in the civil war and is buried in the confederate cemetery in Charleston, South Carolina and Susan Emily Watson Hudson Taylor. Susan remarried to a Willis N. Taylor and his buried at Roper Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, Greenville, South Carolina.

Florence's obituary was published in The Greenville News-Greenville, South Carolina on the 28th day of August 1917 page 2.
