YOAKUM -- Mrs. Karolina Adamek, 94, died at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday at a local nursing home where she had resided for the past three years.
She is a former resident of Rt. 2 Shiner. She was born in Czechoslovakia April 24, 1878.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church near Yoakum with the Rev. Al Padalecki officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel.
She is survived by three sons, Joe of Shiner, John of San Antonio and Charlie of Kerrville; three daughters, Mrs. Anton Lahodny of Shiner, Mrs. Frank Bartos and Mrs. James Goodson both of San Antonio; 19 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Otto Quila of Houston.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
