The inscription on Catherine's tombstone in St. Paul's church yard [translated from the German] at Cherryville:
Here lies buried the deceased, first wife of Bernard Kuntz. She was born in the year 1723. Her name was Catherine Eberhard. She died the 17th of September, 1780, aged 57 years.
Anna Catharina Elisabetha Eberhard was baptised when she was two days old in the Lutheran Church in Durstel in Northern Alsace. Witnesses included Georg Jost (the local tax man's son) and Elisabeth Jung, daughter of Johan Jacob Jung. Notated in the Durstel Lutheran Church records by her baptism record was the comment: "Went to America with her parents in 1737". [see photo for image].
Catharina Eberhardt was a sponsor in 1743 for a child of Joh. Friederich Schneider at Egypt Reformed KB, in Lehigh Co. [18th Century Emigrants, 133].
She is buried next to her husband.
