MIDLOTHIAN - Carrie Lucas (Smyth) Nuckols, 86, of Midlothian, died Feb. 27, 2012.
She was preceded from this life by her parents, Vivian and Scott Lucas; her husband, Cardwell Camden Nuckols Sr., M.D.; brothers, William and Baxter Lucas; and her sister, Lillian Gordon.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Cardwell Camden Nuckols Jr., his wife, Susan Clay and their son, Camden Meredith Nuckols; daughter, Janis Nuckols Montgomery and husband, Ben James Montgomery III; sisters, Ruby and husband, Duane Isham and Reba and husband, Jerry Thompson; brothers, Robert Lucas and wife, LeRue and Jimmy Lucas, whose wife Betty was more like a sister in every way. She loved her family and was devoted to all of her nieces and nephews from both the Lucas and Nuckols families until she took her last breath.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
