Charles Henry Blanton was the sixth child of Benjamin Franklin Blanton and his wife Sarah Lucretia Boone, the founders of Blanton's Chapel. Charles Henry was born May 22, 1872. He married Mattie Fredonia Aldridge and from their union eight children were born. They were: Lexia May who died in infancy, Jessie Marvin, Ila Fredonia, Lois Milton, Velma Patra, Jasper Ophell, Earl Benjamin and Offie Juanita.
Although keeping his farms, Charles Henry moved his family to Leonard in order for his children to go to school. He was well-known as an outstanding church leader and fine farmer. He is still well-remembered in the area for his works. His wife Mattie though small and petite, is also well-remembered by her family and friends for her outstanding good works and her belief in God. The original Blanton land still remains with Charles' family. ~ by ~ Freda Hancock Riley

Charles Henry Blanton married Mattie Fredonia Aldridge on December 25, 1892 in Fannin County, Texas.
