Karyn Rae Gruber, 58, of Harrisburg, Lower Paxton Township, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

She was born on November 26, 1953 in Wilkes Barre, PA to the late Stanley and Sadie (Jenkins) Boyer.

Karyn was a graduate of John Harris High School Class of 1971 and was a supervisor for the Commonwealth of PA Department of Revenue.

Karyn dedicated her life to her family and being a good mother to her two daughters. She also enjoyed crafting and gardening.

Surviving are her husband George H. Gruber, Jr., her two daughters Ashley R. Gruber of Harrisburg, Kierstyn D. Gruber of Harrisburg, her brother Stanley Boyer, Jr. and his wife Ann of Hershey, her four sister-in-laws Dory Crater and her husband John of Middletown, Mary Neubaum and her husband Lloyd of Harrisburg, Betty Geesaman and her husband Adam of Middletown, Nancy Palmer of Middletown and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 7pm on Monday, March 5, 2012 in the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6pm until 7pm on Monday in the funeral home.
