Dr. Clinton D. Bowman was a Presbyterian minister for nearly 30 years and a World War I hero. He died of an apparent heart attack at his home, 1375 Pennsylvania Ave, East St. Louis, IL. Dr. Bowman was pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church since it was founded in East St. Louis in 1953. Previously he had been pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, East St. Louis for 25 years. Over his pastorate in East St. Louis, he has officiated at 1,362 funerals, 463 marriages, and 1,335 baptisms.

WWI Veteran, Chaplain US Army. Awarded the Croix de Guerre by the French Government. Doctor of Divinity, Washington College.
