Mrs. Mozelle Epps Smith, a native and life long resident of Clarke County, died September 1, 2003. She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Evelyn Langford Epps. Mrs. Smith graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Education. She taught schools in Clarke County for over thirteen years. Mrs. Smith was a secretary at Bridges Funeral Home for over ten years before going back to college. She was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her daughter Evelyn "Lyn" Connell and her late husband Mr. A. G. Smith.

Mrs. Smith is survived by a granddaughter, Julie Dixon of Virginia Beach, VA and a grandson, Ty Connell of Altanta, GA.

A graveside service will be held in Oconee Hill Cemetery, Thursday, September 4 at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Interment in Oconee Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers make contributions to the Building Fund of Prince Avenue Baptist Church, 595 Prince Avenue, Athens, GA 30601.

Bridges Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
