Nine children born to this couple. Moved to Rhea county, TN., with his parents in 1818, but his name does not appear on the tax list until 1825, although he had purchased 160 acres in the Hiwassee District in 1821. Buried in the Taylor Cemetery in Meigs county, TN. Peach Taylor presented his appointment as a Justice of the Peace to the Rhea County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions on Feb 6, 1826. He continued to serve in that capacity after Meigs County was formed and performed many of the marriages in the new county. All their children are buried in Taylor Cemetery in Meigs county, TN, as well, except for Amanda (buried Decatur Cemetery). The cemetery is situation on top o a high ridge overlooking the large farm owned by the family. The house build by Peach Taylor was inherited by his son, John B. Taylor, and burned in the early 1900's. The cemetery was deeded to Concord Church in 1904 by Ann (Cross) Taylor (John's wife) prior to her move to California, but has been maintained in recent years by descendants of Peach and Mary (Iva L. Broyles family and Sarah Blevins Jones of Decatur, TN).
