Mr. Ralph Dempsey Aldridge age 87, of Kennesaw, GA, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in a Cobb County Hospital.
Mr. Aldridge was born in Buchanan, GA, on October 15, 1924, the son of the late John Thomas Aldridge and Cora Mae Goggans Aldridge. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Aldridge was a manager with Sears Roebuck & Co. and then later retired as a service technician in the Sears Service Center. Prior to moving to Rome in 1953, Mr. Aldridge lived in Darrington, WA, for a period of time. He relocated to Kennesaw, GA, in 2006. Mr. Aldridge joined Armuchee Baptist Church in 1958 and in 1970 moved his membership to Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Aldridge was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Sue Shuler Aldridge; three brothers, Wyatt Austin Aldridge, Stanley Thomas Aldridge, and Herbert Rayford Aldridge; and six sisters, Zelma Mae Chandler, Bernice Inez Robinson, Gladys Neoma Adams, Agnes Anne Ware, Eunice Estora Spearman, and Ivy Marie Aldridge.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Sue and Jeff Wilson of Marietta, GA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Edward (Eddie) and Rhonda Aldridge of Kennesaw, GA and Samuel Lee (Sam) and Teresa Aldridge of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren and their spouses, Marty Wilson of Marietta, GA, Jodi Todd of Loganville, GA, John and Lynnzee Aldridge of Kennesaw, GA and Tracy Aldridge of Jacksonville, FL; and a great-grandchild, Adeline Elise Aldridge of Kennesaw, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. in the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church with Rev. Mac McCurry and Rev. Bill Atkins officiating. Mr. Aldridge will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Miller and Richards Funeral Home.
The deacons of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet at the church by 1:30 P.M. on Saturday. The honorary pallbearers will be members of the Charles Harris Sunday School Class.

The Miller and Richards Funeral Home Oaknoll Chapel has charge of the arrangements for the funeral of Mr. Ralph Aldridge.
