Doris Abernathy Hunter, 77, of Valdese, was a daughter to the late Moses Daniel Abernathy and Viola Reed Abernathy. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ellen Coggins, Dorothy Bolick, Abb Abernathy, Smith Abernathy, and Lawrence Abernathy.
Doris was retired from the finishing room working at both Henredon Furniture and Drexel Heritage Furniture and loved gardening, flowers and her family. She was a member of North Catawba Baptist Church, and attended Horizon Church.
Interment in Burke Memorial Park.
