Services for Belva Ruth Ahrens, 83 of Blair, who died February 9, 1995 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 14 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held in the Blair Cemetery.

Belva Ahrens was born May 2, 1911 in Blair to Lester and Antonia Kegler Barton. She spent her entire life in the Blair area. She was a graduate of Blair High School.

On February 18, 1937 she married Fred Ahrens in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They farmed in rural Blair.

She was a member of the Summer Sunshine Club and the Grange.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Fred, who died in 1972.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dareld and Elaine of Blair; two grandchildren, Cheryl and her husband, Donald Nielsen of Apple Valley, Minnesota and Keith and his wife Debbie Ahrens of Blair; five great-grandchildren, Marc Nielsen, Jason Nielsen, Rachel Ahrens, Rebecca Ahrens and Kristopher Ahrens; one sister, Hilda Crist of Blair and two nieces, Lynette Palu and Mary Jean Cambell.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
