NELLIE R. WILBERT

Nellie R. Wilbert, 91, former resident of the Eliza Ramsay Home and a resident of Woodview Nursing Center since 1985, died Tuesday morning, March 29, 1988, in Fremont Memorial Hospital after being in failing health for several years.

The funeral for Mrs. Wilbert was Thursday morning, March 31, in Clyde Christian Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Messner officiating.Friends were recieved at the Mitchell Auxter Funeral Home Wednesday.

She was born April 21, 1896, in Muskingum County, the daughter of George W. and Mary Estella (Matchett) Lacy. She had attended Clyde schools and had resided in Cairo, Bucyrus and Florida, but had spent most of her life in the Clyde area. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Wilbert was a member of Clyde Christian Church and its Christian Women's Fellowship Group.

She was first married to Ora Tanner in 1913 and he preceded her in death in 1932. She married Clifton Gooding in 1937 and he died in 1957. In 1959 she married Foster Wilbert and he died in 1978.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jesse (Effie) Ray-Griffith of Genoa and Mrs. Alvin (Nora) Starr, Clyde; two step-sons, Thomas Wilbert, Clyde, and Robert Wilbert, Green Springs; three step-daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Doris) Zilles, Fremont, Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Fillmore, Oak Harbor, and Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Dietzel, Bellevue; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five sons, Ora Tanner, Jr., in infancy, Ronald Tanner, Richard Tanner, Dale Tanner, and Robert Tanner, her parents, two sisters and a brother.

Interment at McPherson Cemetery.
