He is not the Michael who was found in Maryland or Philadelphia. There are many other Michaels in Va, Ohio. He was married to Cath Whitmire ( maiden name unproven). They had nine Children.
He is buried on the Whitmire Family farm near Pumpkintown and Dacusville,Pickens Co., SC.
Land Later was purchased by the Hunt family. Mrs. S. J. Hunt-Hester, she recorded this was Michael Whitmire Sr. the dates were 1733 - 1796 per her writing from what she saw on the stone in 1950.
