Leland G. "Puss" Larrimore of Easton, formerly of Tilghman, died Monday, August 9, 1993, at his home. He was 72.
Born December 22, 1920 on Tilghman Island, he was the son of the late Glendy and Nannie Marie (McQuay) Larrimore. He attended public schools in Talbot County. He was a lifelong waterman and tugboad captain. In 1942 he entered the U.S. Navy and after his release from duty he returned to working on the water. He retired in 1979.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7460, Cambridge Moose Lodge No. 1211, and American Legion Post 0091 in Cambridge.
Mr. Larrimore is survived by his wife, the former Irene Yunko, whom he married in 1941; a daughter Jacqueline Westerfield of Easton; three sons, Dennis Larrimore of Preston, and Darryl Larrimore and Michael Larrimore, both of Tilghman; a brother, Stanley V. Larrimore of Tilghman; and a step-son, Jerry Evans of Alexandria, Virginia; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, August 12, at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Beulah. Friends may call at Newnam Funeral Home, Easton, on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m.
