Helen Dull, 87, passed away on February 13, 2012 in Buena Park.
The youngest of six children, she was born in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska on May 20, 1925 to Charles and Clara Warnke. In July of 1944, she enlisted in the Navy as a Telegrapher, First Class and was stationed in San Francisco. She then met her husband Joseph F. Dull who was stationed on a crash boat on Treasure Island nearby.
Married on January 4, 1947, Helen and her husband Joseph lived in Los Angeles until his passing on January 8, 1966. Shortly after, she moved their family of six children to Whittier, where she remained until her passing.
Helen is survived by her six children Joe Due (wife Marlene), Anne Heard (husband Bill), Vincent Dull, also known as Brother Benedict; Susan Collins (husband Shelley), Teri Stiles (husband Lee), and Patrick Dull (wife Net). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
A mass at St. Gregory the Great Church will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., with graveside services following immediately after at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
